The 6th SSF was held in Dunajská Streda on 6 - 7 May 2011 under the topic:
"European Security Policy - Captured in Decreasing Budgets, International Promises and National Interests"
This time the round-table forum summoned more than thirty experts. At first, the forum continued to discuss the strategic evaluation of defence that CENAA introduced at the previous forum in December 2010. At the time when the forum was being held, the Ministry of Defence has already undergone the first – analytical – phase on the state of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic. The conclusions concerning this phase were not the most optimistic ones. The participants of the discussion outlined the direction that the strategic evaluation of defence should take and suggested even the possibility with other countries. The discussions of the next day were focused notably on Common security and defence policy. On the one hand, there was a space open for new initiatives in the area of defence cooperation on the European level, on the other hand, the participants analysed the operation of the EU in the Northern Africa. The wave of revolutions was launched by street upheavals in Tunisia in the mid-December 2010 that resulted in demonstrations, civilian resistance and spilled over to other countries – Egypt, Libya, Sudan, Syria.
